Greetings from the University of the Philippines!
Last August 2007, there were over 66,000 high school seniors who took the U.P. College Admission Test (UPCAT 2008). While the University of the Philippines would like to admit as many applicants as possible, its very limited resources dictate that only about 12,000 can qualify to U.P.'s various campuses each school year. We would regret to inform you that you did not qualify for admission into any of the campuses you chose as your admission grade fell below the cut-off for said campuses.
Actually, you still have the opportunity to study in this University. You may apply to U.P. as a transfer student upon the competition of one year of study in another college or university, subject to certain requirements. We have enclosed the information regarding undergraduate transfer students for your easy reference.
Thank you fo considerin U.P. in your academic plans. We wish you all the best in your endeavors.
